Timely Warnings

Code of Federal Regulations 668.46(e)

In the event that a situation arises, either on or off campus, that in the judgment of the Chief of Police or his designee, constitutes an ongoing or continuing threat, a campus wide “Timely Warning” will be issued.  The “Timely Warning” bulletins must be related to a crime that is reportable under the Clery Act or that represents a threat to the campus community, i.e. Murder, Manslaughter, Sex Offenses, Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Vehicle Theft, and Arson.

The “Timely Warning” bulletins will be emailed to the campus community, and posted on the Palomar College Police Department website.

Anyone with information warranting a timely warning should report the circumstances to the Palomar College Police Department. The Chief of Police or his/her designee will approve all “Timely Warnings” prior to posting.
