Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the San Marcos SU Quad – Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, Child Abuse Prevention
This event is to help students increase awareness and reduce the risk of sexual assault and child abuse.
RAD Basic Class- Dates – Wednesday, April 11-13, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm in room G-8.
The classes are free and open to the public. The Basic RAD class will give the students some tools/techniques for self-defense against an attacker. RAD students will learn kicks, hand strikes, key-chain defense and other defense techniques to escape an attacker.
2nd Annual Public Safety Community Outreach – Thursday, April 26th, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in lot 12.
The Palomar College Police Department (PCPD) invites you and your family to take part of this event. Meet the PCPD family and your local law enforcement. Come join us for a night of free music and fun!

Come out and have a free cup of coffee with our friendly Palomar College Police Department. Meet our new Chief Chris Moore, Sergeants, Officers and members of the Police Department. This is a time for Q & A , to voice concerns, learn about career opportunities, and get to know the Police Department Staff on your campus.

Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm in the San Marcos SU Quad – RADD CAR, MADD, Distracted Driving and Substance Abuse Event
Come see the RADD car and try the sobriety goggles that simulate the effects of impairment. This event also brings awareness to distracted driving by phone usage like texting and talking without using a hands free device.

Join the Police Department, Student Health Services, and Student Affairs at the Quad for informational presentations with a dash of fun on:
September 6, 2017 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – NCSAM Alcohol and Drug Awareness
Come tryout the DUI goggles and see what it’s like to try and walk while under the influence. Attempt a basketball shot while wearing the goggles. Take the Cash Cab quiz by the Recording Artist Against Drunk Driving RADD. Along with meeting and receiving information from our community partners such as North County Health Services.
September 20, 2017 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm – NCSAM Bystander Intervention & Risk Reduction and BEING PREPARED
Come join the County’s Office of Emergency Services and see if you are prepared in the case of a natural disaster. Check in with local law enforcement agency crime prevention units for programs in your area.
Join are community partners for open discussions of what services are available if you become the victim of sexual assault, domestic or dating violence, and stalking. Join in on discussions on bystander intervention and risk reduction.
