The Palomar College Facilities Office is responsible for the care and condition of approximately fourteen (14) vehicles used by employees on official contract college business. The Facilities Office tracks departmental use and will make necessary vehicle adjustments and repairs. Our licensed mechanic schedules and performs routine maintenance and documents any adjustments and repairs made. Fleet vehicles undergo annual safety inspections.
The fleet is comprised of the following vehicles:
- Five (5) eight-passenger vans
- One (1) cargo van (back seats permanently removed)
- Five (5) twelve-passenger vans
- Two (2) two-passenger pickup trucks with racks
- One (1) flatbed trucks
All vehicles are equipped with:
- Emergency First Aid Kit
- Emergency Road Kit
- Fire Extinguisher
