Mission Statement

The Building Services area of the Facilities Department at Palomar College is a valued service team committed to providing and enhancing the Palomar community.  We consider it our privilege to serve you, as you teach, study, work and play at Palomar College.

We are responsible for the upkeep of real property, structural systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems and energy management systems on the San Marcos and Escondido Center Campuses.  All work is requested through the Facilities Office.  Our trades provide a wide range of services including emergency response, routine and preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith services, painting, and welding.

We hope you will find this site to be helpful and informative.  We want you to know who we are, the services that we provide, and how to request them.  We know our buildings and grounds are important components of your Palomar experience, and we want them to be as functional, beautiful, safe, and secure as possible.

About Building Services

The Building Services area of the Facilities Department is dedicated to providing the best possible service and support to maintain a safe, healthy and operational environment for all College buildings on the San Marcos Campus, Escondido Center, Fallbrook Center and Rancho Bernardo Center. The Building Services area works to achieve these goals through our Facilities Office which helps with work efficiency and requests status tracking. Building Services also works with outside contractors for specialty services for Palomar College.

It is the goal of the Facilities Department to discharge its duties in a timely, courteous and professional manner.  In some instances, despite our best efforts, a member of the campus community may be displeased with the service received.  Should this occur, the appropriate course of action should be to speak to the Manager, Facilities Maintenance and seek a resolution.  If no resolution is forthcoming or the problem persists, please document the situation providing as much information as possible and email it to the Director, Facilities or if the problem requires immediate action, please call us at extension 2629.
