How often are classroom whiteboards and trays cleaned ?

Weekly.

How do I get a room set up for a special event?

Process your request through the Facilitron available through the Events Scheduler.

My classroom is missing tables and/or chairs?

Classrooms are set up for the classes scheduled for each room.  When tables and chairs are removed, then there are not enough seats for the students.  Should you require additional tables and chairs, please contact the Facilities Office at extension 2629, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or via e-mail to Facilities Remedy to provide services that are tailored to your needs and requirements.

How enough are offices vacuumed?

Campus Offices are vacuumed on a weekly basis.

Who do I call if I discover rodents or pests in my work area?

Please contact the Facilities Office at extension 2629, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or via e-mail to Facilities Remedy to provide services that are tailored to your needs and requirements. 

How do I get the furniture in my office moved?

Submit a Facilities Remedy to the Facilities Office via email.

How often should my office be swept?

Traffic areas are swept weekly.

Does Custodial Services clean refrigerators ?

No, that is the responsibility of the department that owns the equipment.

Who do I call for a spill on a carpet, linoleum or tile floor?

Please contact the Facilities Office immediately at extension 2629, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  After these hours and on weekends as well as holidays, please contact Campus Police at extension 2289 or 760/891-7273.

Can I borrow custodial equipment?

No.

Would you leave paper towels in any rooms other than where there is a dispenser?

No.

How do I arrange to have someone shampoo my carpet or wax my floors?

Submit a Facilities Remedy (this is a chargeable expensive) via email.

Who is responsible for dumpsters?

The Facilities Department has a contract with EDCO for all trash and dumpster pick-ups on campus.  Trash is picked up on a regular schedule with additional pick-ups scheduled on an as needed basis.

If I have concerns with the custodial service being provided in my area, what can I do?

Who do I contact if I need canopies?

Custodial Services has a limited number of canopies.  Please submit your reservation in Facilitron and include the request for canopy in the set-up instruction. 

Can I leave items in the hallways to be picked up and disposed of?

Leaving items in corridors is in violation of Building & Fire codes. Custodians do not dispose of items other than the trash.

How often are restrooms sanitized?

Daily.

How can I report a restroom that needs assistance?
