The District’s recycling program is critical because it helps conserve natural resources, reduce the quantity of waste materials sent to the landfill, and demonstrates the District’s willingness to protect the environment and offer an educational opportunity for students and staff to learn recycling for their normal daily lives.
The Palomar College comprehensive recycling program services the main campus and the Escondido Center. The District contracts out our waste disposal service with EDCO – Waste & Recycling Services. EDCO provides the District with 3-Yard and 40-Yard Recycling Dumpsters at no cost; they pickup our filled recycling bins also at no cost to the District and pay 70% of the current price for our recyclables.
