All freeway signage within the area of Palomar College is installed under the guidelines of the Caltrans Standards.

The Public Affairs Office works with Caltrans and local city jurisdictions to identify the size of street and highway signs allowed.  This office also recommends locations where new signs are needed to assist people in locating the College campus and our educational centers.

Current roadway signage also indicates speed limits, traffic flow, pedestrian crosswalks, stop signs, yield signs. There are currently pole mounted signs and signs painted on the asphalt surfaces.
