Signage – ADA Door Signs

Unless otherwise stated, all public signage at Palomar College must comply with the federal regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  This law is the driving force that has changed the way we design, manufacture, and install signs on the Palomar College campuses. The Americans with Disabilities Act aids in the development, maintenance, and consistency of room numbers, sign design, and sign placement.

Specifications:

  • Black plastic with raised white letters
  • Grade II Braille
  • Signs are installed on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door.

Signs can be ordered:

  • Submitting a work order to the Facilities Office by emailing FacilitiesRemedy@palomar.edu. Provide an account string as this is a chargeable service.
    • Sign(s) will be installed by a Facilities/Building Services employee.
