Key and Card Access – Pickup

When District keys/cards are ready for pick-up, an email will be sent to the individual (this applies to the San Marcos Campus only) along with a carbon-copy email to their department’s respective Academic Department Assistant and/or Staff Aide/Staff Assistant/Secretary.

When District keys are ready for the Escondido Center Campus, the key request form and the key(s) will be send via the District’s Warehouse courier to the Escondido Center’s Extended Education Office.

All keys/cards, for the San Marcos Campus, will be issued through the Facilities Office and can be picked up at our office located in the MO Building on the San Marcos Campus between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and by special arrangements for off-hours and weekends which can be arranged by contacting the Facilities Office at extension 2629 or via email FacilitiesOffice@palomar.edu

Keys for the Escondido Center, Fallbrook Center and Rancho Bernardo Center are sent to the appropriate Center Education Coordinator to distribute. They will contact you with specific pickup instructions.

Requestors must pickup their own keys/cards and will be required to sign for the keys/cards after showing a valid Driver’s license or College ID card.  All keys/cards issued become the full responsibility of the individual to whom they have been specifically assigned, including providing for the safe keeping and security of the keys/cards.

Ensure that the door to the assigned work area is locked when leaving the area or at the conclusion of work.

Within four weeks of notification, unclaimed keys/cards will be returned to the Facilities Office inventory and the request destroyed.  A new Key/Card Access Request Form will be required to start the process over.  Copies of the original will not be accepted.
