California law requires drivers and all passengers to use a safety restraint system while riding in a motor vehicle. Few people think they will be involved in an accident, but it’s too late to buckle up once a crash begins.
The Palomar College Facilities Office Fleet Use, in compliance with state law requires that:
- The driver and all passengers wear their seat belts at all times – it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure compliance with this guideline.
- A seat belt must be available for all passengers – the number of passengers in a vehicle must not exceed the number of available seat belts.
