I thought this was an excellent conference – thanks again for offering it! I gained a new perspective on assessment, and took away some practical techniques that I can use in my courses. For example, Tom demonstrated different methods for team learning and testing, such as pre-testing students individually, and then having them take an additional exam together for a combined grade. He also offered suggestions on how to make feedback more effective, by requiring students to reply to my feedback with steps on how they will integrate this feedback into their work. He also gave us a great list of resources where I can find more information on how to make assessment more effective.
