How to Resolve Missing Financial Aid Application

Is your Palomar Promise application on hold due to your missing financial aid application? If so, please read the information below for helpful steps to resolve.

To be eligible for the Palomar Promise program, you must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a California Dream Act Application. If your application is on hold pending resolution of eligibility requirements, please check that you completed either the FAFSA or California Dream Act application and included the Palomar College school code (001260).

Already Completed FAFSA or Dream Act?

FAFSA APPLICANTS: If you have already completed your FAFSA and you are not sure why Palomar College doesn’t have it, first log into your FAFSA and make sure Palomar College is listed (school code 001260), your SSN is correct, and that you have submitted your application. If you make a correction, resubmit the application at the end to ensure that Palomar College will be notified of the change.

Check with the Admissions Office at Palomar College to verify the SSN you reported on your Admissions application is correct. While this is not required when applying to Promise, we must match you to your FAFSA by your SSN for federal financial aid. To make a change with Palomar College, fill out the Student Data Change Form.  Send this form along with a scanned copy of your government-issued ID and your social security card to admissions@palomar.edu from your Palomar student email ONLY or submit in person to the Palomar College Admissions Office.

CA DREAM ACT APPLICANTS: If you have completed your CA Dream Act Application and you are not sure why Palomar College doesn’t have it, log into your Dream Act Application and make sure Palomar College is listed (school code 001260) and that you have submitted your application. If you make a correction, resubmit the application so that Palomar College will be notified of the change.

Check with the Palomar College Admissions Office to verify that your name on the application is exactly the same name you provided to Palomar to ensure we can match your Dream Act Application with your Palomar student identification number. If you need to update your name, please fill out the Student Data Change Form. Send this form and a scanned copy of your government-issued ID to admissions@palomar.edu from your Palomar student email ONLY, or submit in person to the Palomar College Admissions Office.
