Palomar faculty may place personal copies of books, articles, media, etc. in the library for reserved student use.
Instruction & Information Literacy
Palomar faculty are encouraged to use our online request forms to schedule an information literacy consultation or a library instruction session for their students.
Ordering
Palomar faculty may request ordering of books, periodicals, media, or online resources for the Library collection. The library has a selection policy which provides guidelines for how we select items for our collections. For more information, contact the librarian subject specialist for your department.
Library Workshops
Attend the online workshop
EXTERNAL TRAINING: What’s New in the Library and earn PD credit while learning about Library resources and services for Faculty at Palomar College. The workshop takes approximately 30-60 minutes to go through. To claim PD credit, add it as a self-designed activity in the
External Training section of your
Professional Development contract (enter “Palomar College Library PD Activities” as the activity title). We also offer in-library workshops at the San Marcos campus and Escondido Center throughout the year. Check you email for announcements of these.
Streaming Media
Online streaming media, including educational, instructional and feature films, can be found in the
Library databases. VHS or DVDs not available online from the Library may be eligible for streaming onto the College’s streaming server, Kaltura. For more information about the streaming server, consult the

Find credible and reliable OER and free-to-Palomar -students online resources to use in your classes. Include links to guides for determining copyright, fair use, and licensing; OER resources in most disciplines; and guides for creating and licensing your own OER.
