Instruction & Information Literacy

Palomar faculty are encouraged to use our online request forms to schedule an information literacy consultation or a library instruction session for their students.

Ordering

Palomar faculty may request ordering of books, periodicals, media, or online resources for the Library collection. The library has a selection policy which provides guidelines for how we select items for our collections. For more information, contact the librarian subject specialist for your department.

Streaming Media

Online streaming media, including educational, instructional and feature films can be found in the Library databases.

Open Education Resources (OER) for Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) and Low Textbook Cost (LTC) Courses

Find credible and reliable OER and free-to-Palomar-students online resources to use in your classes. Include links to guides for determining copyright, fair use, and licensing; OER resources in most disciplines; and guides for creating and licensing your own OER.
