Interlibrary loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows libraries to borrow materials (books, videos and articles ) they don’t own from other libraries.

Palomar College Library has typically offered ILL to student, staff and faculty if none of our locations own the books or articles  they need. Due to the special handling requirement and short loan periods for videos we have not offered ILL for borrowing media items.

*Before submitting requests to borrow materials through ILL, please remember to check the following tools:

-for book requests
Check our catalog (the PrimoVE OneSearch tool) for availability of a title from 1 of Palomar’s 4 library locations. To obtain books via ILL use this Request Books form.

-for article requests
Use this catalog search to determine if the periodical (journal, magazine, newspaper, etc.) which published your article is available from the Palomar College Library, either in print at one of our 4 locations or via an electronic resource. Searching the catalog for periodicals helps you access available articles promptly! To obtain articles via ILL use this Request Articles form.
