The following behaviors and activities are not allowed:
- Any disruptive behavior which Library staff reasonably determines interferes with the performance of their duties or the intended use of the library by students and others.
- Harassment, threats, and/or intimidation, including abusive language, encouraging violence, or other noise or conduct intended to disturb others and reasonably likely to do so.
- Food or uncovered beverages consumed in areas other than the first floor lobby.
- Smoking, vaping, or alcohol.
- Unlawfully possessed weapons of any kind.
- Theft and damage to property.
- Soliciting for commercial purposes and panhandling.
- Unattended children ages 15 and under who are not Palomar College students.
- Odors or hygiene that constitute a nuisance to other persons.
- Entering the Library without wearing appropriate clothing, including shoes and shirts.
- Sleeping or excessive use of personal space that interferes with access to those spaces by others.
- Leaving personal belongings unattended or placing them in a manner that interferes with safe use of the library.
- Playing audio equipment so others can hear it; talking or singing loudly inside the library; or making other similar noises disruptive to other library users.
- Animals other than service animals.
- Noncompliance with public health orders or measures implemented by the library to ensure compliance with public health orders.
- Illegal activity as defined by federal, state, and local laws.
