To be eligible for 2026 -2027 Palomar Promise, applicants must:
- Be a first-time (any) college student starting fall 2026 semester. Units earned as a high school student through dual/concurrent enrollment are exempt.
- Be a California resident or from an eligible exempt group (i.e. AB 540 or military dependent)
- Complete, submit and have on record with Palomar College the Official 2026-27 FAFSA or California Dream Act application; must include the Palomar College school code: 001260.
- Complete the Palomar Promise application located in your MyPalomar student portal (click Financials tab)
- Enroll full-time (a minimum of 12 units) or units approved by the Disability Resource Center (DRC), including:
- Transfer level math and/or English during the first semester and both completed by the end of the first year.
- Students who have a disability which interferes with taking a full course load may be eligible for accommodations, including a waiver of the 12 unit requirement, through the Palomar College’s Disability Resource Center (DRC).
- Transfer level math and/or English during the first semester and both completed by the end of the first year.
