If you are a Palomar College student or employee, you do not need a library card to check out materials.  You can check out materials with a government issued photo ID and your eServices number. Students from CSU San Marcos or Mira Costa College may also check out materials with a valid student identification from either of these schools. See Library Borrowing Privileges.

All other persons who are 18 years old or older may register with the Library as a “Community Patron” to borrow materials. A valid government issued photo ID such as a valid driver’s license, California ID card, Resident Alien card, military ID card or passport and proof of current mailing address is required to create a new account. A Community Patron who has holds on their account due to non-returned items will have their borrowing privileges suspended. Please contact the Library Circulation Desk for further information at (760) 744-1150 x2614.

Faculty / Staff – Circulation Policies

Faculty and staff may borrow circulating books for up to one full academic year (May through May), and circulating media for up to 3 weeks, but are urged to return items as soon as they have finished using them.  The library does not currently assess fines for late return of materials.

Lost Items

Fines for lost items start at $50 ($15 for ETV items), plus a processing fee.
