Are you an art lover? Check this out!

ARTstor, a image library for the Arts and Sciences, has an enormous collection images from art, architecture, archeology and more.

The ARTstor Blog is a great place to learn more about the collections and look at some cool images! There is a recent post in celebration of Women’s History Month and another recent post about where to find images of the Beat Generation.

Hope you enjoy the ARTstor blog as much as we do! If you would like some help searching for images in the database, stop by the reference desk and ask a librarian.

Important Update for ARTstor Users

There were some updates at ARTstor Digital Library recently. If you use ARTstor, take note of the following changes:

  • ARTstor now work with Google Chrome browser
  • In your image search results, you may now see icons on the lower right-hand corner of the image thumbnail: “P” denotes Personal Collection (for images uploaded by a campus instructor), and “H” Hosted images (for images visible only at your institution).
  • Folders are now nested in two upper level folders: “Private Folders” and “Institutional Folders.” “Private Folders” contains folders viewable only by you. “Institutional Folders” contains folders that are viewable by other users at your institution either as “Public” folders or as “Password-protected” folders.

If you have any questions about these changes, you can take a look at the help wiki. Also, if you have questions about using ARTstor, stop by the reference desk and ask a librarian. We would be happy to show you around all the amazing images ARTstor has to offer.
