What is Federal Work Study?
The Federal Work-Study Program is a Federal Financial Aid Program offered at Palomar College. Students must apply and be eligible before starting employment. The award is earned through part-time employment on campus. The federal government funds 100%
How do students apply?
The program is need-based. Students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and complete your financial aid file each year. There is no guarantee that a student will continue to receive work-study awards from one year to the next. Students should complete the application process early to be considered. FWS funds are limited. Contact studentjobs@palomar.edu if you are interested and have not received an award for FWS. Students may hold only ONE Federal Work Study job at a time.

If you were not awarded FWS and want to be considered for the program, please email work study at the address below or fill out a message transmittal at the financial aid office asking to be placed on the wait list. Wait list requests will be accepted beginning every July . Please read the Federal Work-Study Student Handbook before applying for jobs listed here.
