Confirmation of Future Attendance

Confirmation of Future Attendance

  • Due to recent Federal changes that affect courses offered in sessions, students may have part of their federal aid returned if withdrawing from classes after having completed a session OR if withdrawing while still being enrolled in future sessions. According to Federal regulations, Title IV financial aid recipients who withdraw from all courses or stop attending classes before the last day of class have not “earned” all of their aid that was received for that semester. To determine the amount of Title IV aid a student has “earned”, a Return to Title IV (R2T4) calculation is processed. Students withdrawing from a currently enrolled session yet remain enrolled in a future session are initially required to undergo R2T4. This means that we will calculate your last day of attendance as the day of your withdrawal. To prevent our office from calculating a return, you must submit a Written Confirmation of Attendance in which you certify that you will attend your future term courses and complete them. Submitting this certification form will allow you to keep your aid. Should you decide to withdraw from your later session or stop attending, your R2T4 will be processed as of the date of your withdrawal from your earlier session.
