Child Development Permit Stipend Program

The Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC) Permit Stipend Program pays the Child Development Permit application fee to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for eligible applicants.
The child development permit stipend is available to ALL permit levels

Child Development Permit applications eligible for the current CTC waiver may still benefit from processing by the CDTC Stipend Program.

The CDTC reimburses $49 of live scan fees to eligible applicants, reviews all applications for completeness, and provides technical support via email for most corrections, often resulting in a smoother process for the applicant.

How to Submit Your Application:

ONLINE PERMIT APPLICATIONS:

You may be able to submit your child development permit application on the CDTC website at childdevelopment.org.

The online permit application can be used for all types and levels of permits.

To access the link for the online application, select “APPLY FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT PERMIT STIPEND”, then select “Apply for a Permit Online Here”.

The online permit application is a two-step process. After completing the online portion, follow the instructions on the “Review/Summary” tab of the application to print, complete, and mail the required documents to CDTC for processing.

Please review the “Tips for Completing the Online Application” for successful completion of the online permit application process.

The benefits of the online application are as follows:

    • Priority processing over hard-copy applications
    • Status updates in your CDTC account (e.g. when documents and e-transcripts are received, when the application is mailed to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing, etc.)
    • Email updates as the application is being processed
    • Most permit application documents are pre-printed with applicant information, reducing errors
    • Only the documents required for your permit type and level will print

If you have any technical issues in submitting your online application, please contact CDTC-Permit@yosemite.edu
