In Spring 2024, we are offering face-to-face, Hyflex, and online courses.  We have many options for classes at the Fallbrook and Escondido Education Centers, in addition to San Marcos’ main campus!

Important Dates and Reminders!

Finishing your Certificate or Degree? Complete the Petition for Graduation form! – Have you completed or are enrolled in all the classes needed to earn a certificate or degree? Make sure that you apply for your certificate/degree using the Petition for Graduation Form by February 28 for Spring Graduation. CDTC EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT GRANTS
Attention current CHDV students – Check to see if you qualify!
Apply for the Child Development  Training Consortium Educational Support Grant:
1. Students who are employed in the childcare/early childhood education field in CA and taking classes towards their permit, certificate, or degree.
OR
2. Students enrolled in two of the following courses during the same semester: CHDV 100, 105, 106, 115, 182, 184, 185
OR
3. Students enrolled in CHDV 201 or 201A

Students who fall in one of these 3 categories can receive payment after the end of the semester- reimbursement rates usually range from $20-$40 per unit, for each Fall and Spring Semester. Qualifying students must apply online Full details are available on our Child Development Training Consortium webpage 

*Applications are now closed for Fall, but this grant opportunity will be available for students in the Spring!

Our Next Service Learning Fair will by on Thursday, February 8, 10:30am -1:00pm at the San Marcos Campus outdoor quad, by the clocktower. Free parking will be available during the event in lots 1 & 2. 


ESL Support for Child Development

Free ESL Tutoring is available for all Palomar College students! ESL Tutors can offer support in writing, reading, grammar, pronunciation and conversation practice for any Palomar College class. Support is also available for learning how to use Canvas, MyPalomar, email, and more!
We also offer a specific ESL course specifically designed to help you with your Child Development Courses! If you have questions about this course, please contact Tina Parker at 760-744-1150, Ext. 2258.
