Are you letting FREE money pass you by?!?!

Child Development Training Consortium: Educational Support Grants | Deadline Friday, February 28, 2025

Students have an opportunity to earn money for each unit of child development courses they are taking. You may qualify under one of the following.

  • Working in a state-funded ECE program
  • Not working, but enrolled in CHDV 201
  • Not working, but enrolled in two of the core courses this semester (CHDV 100, 105, 106, 115, 182, 184, 185)

The deadline for all qualifying students to apply online is February 28, 2025.

Save the Dates:

  • Service Learning Fair is on February 6, 2025. 
    • Students will have the opportunity to connect and learn about service learning volunteer opportunities from our community partners. Please share the information with your classes.
  • Cesar Chavez Day of Service is on April 11, 2025. 
    • Students will have the opportunity to complete a service learning volunteer opportunity in a tri-campus event with CSU San Marcos and MiraCosta College. Lunch will be provided at CSU San Marcos and buses will take students to local community sites to complete a service project. More details will be shared in Feb/March. Faculty are welcome to participate with their students. 
  • Service Learning Awards Reception is on May 15, 2025. 
    • We will share our successes of the year and honor our Excellence in Service Learning Student Awardees at the annual event. 

A Few Reminders:

  • Step-by-Step Directions for Service Learning.
    • The last update to the forms was made before Spring 2024. You can download the attached Service Learning student packet to share with your students.
  • Tell your students to visit our Awards and Recognition page to learn about earning a Service Learning certificate (15 hours/semester), graduation cord (50 hrs/all semesters), and graduation stole (100 hrs/all semesters). Nominate your students for the Excellence in Service Learning Award here.
