Camp Pendleton Visitor Procedures

Are you observing a class on the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base? If so, here are some tips to help you access the base to conduct your evaluation. [You, as the evaluator, are responsible for gaining access to Camp Pendleton to conduct the evaluation; the TERB Office cannot complete these steps on your behalf.]

Yvette Maynard is the Education Center Coordinator for both the Fallbrook Education Center and Camp Pendleton Site. She will set up your visitor pass for base access. Please email her the information below and include the date in which you will be on base. Her extension is 8690, and her email is ymaynard@palomar.edu.

Yvette needs advance notice of seven (7) business days to be able to register you for a pass to get on the base. Please email Yvette with the following information:

1.       Full Name (including middle name)

2.       Driver License Number

3.       State of Issued Driver License

4.       Date of Birth

We process base access passes once a week and they are routed from the Base Education Center to the Visitor Center (located outside the main gate in Oceanside). It takes about five business days for us to route the information and be approved before you can pick up your pass, and you will be notified via email you once it is ready for pick-up.

You will have ten days from then to pick up your pass before it expires.  You will need to follow instructions and requirements as posted in your base access confirmation email. This may mean bringing your driver’s license, passport, Social Security card, birth certificate, etc. Please note that federal limits may apply to the type of identification you are allowed to present so please read the email carefully! You will also need to provide proof of car insurance and proof of car registration.

You, as the evaluator, must pick up the visitor pass at the Visitor Center located outside of the main gate in Oceanside. Please allow 45 mins to an hour at the Visitor Center to receive your pass. The Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  Doors typically close at 3:30 pm, so please plan accordingly.  You can go to the Visitor Center one day before to get your pass for the next day.
