Palomar College tuition fees are $46.00 per unit

EMT courses:

The cost of taking the EMT Course consists of the following:

Tuition is approximately $345 for California residents (7.5 total units for EME 106 and EME 106L)

The textbook costs approximately $130

The uniform costs approximately $80 (estimated shirt 15, pants 25, shoes 40)

The Materials Fee is $106

The cost for the FISDAP student study tools is approximately $33

The cost for Complio is $6

The National Registry Practical Exam given at the end of the course is $100.00.

Total costs = $800

Paramedic Program courses:

Courses – 44 units at $46.00/unit. – $2064.00 (In-state Residents)

Materials fees – $650.00

Books – $600.00

Parking – $40.00 to $80.00  (Cost changes for Financial Aid recipients)

Uniforms – $450.00 (Includes uniform pants and boots which most EMT’s may already have)

The cost for Complio is $24

Background check and Drug Screen – $100.00

Testing and licensing when class is completed – $490.00

Total Costs = Approximately $3,979.00 to $4,200.00

Miscellaneous Fees

The replacement fees for any certificates or certification cards that EME has to recreate or reorder for any person are as follows:

  • Paper certificate – $3.00
  • San Diego County Protocol Book (Small) – $12.00
  • San Diego County Protocol Book (Large) – $18.00
