Intended to prepare you for immediate work opportunities or to add skills to your resume. Only coursework for the major is required.  This is the shortest program with various unit requirements depending on the discipline. See  Palomar Pathways Mapper for a suggested sequence of courses.

Associate of Arts/Sciences

Provides academic and vocational preparation in a career.  Complete the Associate Degree Advising Guide and coursework for the major. Requires a minimum of 60 units of coursework numbered 50 and higher. See the Palomar Pathway Mapper for a suggested sequence of courses.

Associate Degree for Transfer

ADTs, also called AA-T and AS-T, are intended for students who want the option to transfer to various CSUs while following a uniform set of coursework. Complete AD-T major requirements and CSU GE or IGETC. Requires a minimum of 60 units of coursework numbered 100 and higher. Limited degree options.

Transfer to a University

Complete lower division coursework before transferring to a university.  Begin with CSU GE or IGETC for general education. Check www.ASSIST.org for major preparation at CSUs and UCs. Typically requires a minimum of 60 units of coursework numbered 100 and higher.
