CSU General Education Requirements
Complete all the course requirements for CSU GE and apply for CSU GE Certification from Palomar College to waive the CSU campus specific lower division general education requirements. Some majors at some universities do not require the entire pattern of courses. See a counselor for details.
UC and CSU General Education Requirements
Complete all the course requirements for IGETC and apply for IGETC Certification from Palomar College to waive the UC campus specific lower division general education requirements. Not all majors (such as engineering and other high unit majors) recommend completion of IGETC. See a counselor for details.
Private and Out-of-State General Education Requirements
Check the articulation agreements for private and out-of-state university requirements. Some private and out-of-state universities will accept IGETC or CSU GE in lieu of the campus specific requirements. Others do not. See a counselor for assistance with general education requirements.
