STEM Departments in the division:
- Biology: The Biology Department offers a transfer-oriented degree in biology, as well as certificate programs in pre-allied health professions and general biology. We provide courses in a wide variety of areas, including general biology, marine biology, botany, anatomy and physiology, ecology, genetics, and animal behavior. We also participate in programs intended to connect students interested in research to training and internship opportunities.
- Chemistry: The Chemistry Department provides students with the fundamental concepts, knowledge, and laboratory techniques in a healthy and safe environment.
- Computer Science: One of the many programs offered by Computer Science includes the Cisco Certified Networking program. The Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification has grown to become the most popular IT certification in the world. The certification’s primary focus lies on developing relevant skills to match the rapid deployment of technologies in today’s sophisticated networking environment.

- Math: Get ready for your math class with one of our Prep for Math programs! We have free half-day workshops as well as very low-cost 3-week non-credit classes to help you prepare.
- Physics and Engineering: Engineers are the people who invent, design, build and innovate practical solutions to critical issues such as energy efficiency, clean water, communications and data systems, thereby improving and changing the world.
