The San Marcos Early Childhood Education Lab School (ECELS) is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (hours are subject to change). We moved to our new site on the San Marcos campus in March 2016, and we are located off Borden Road, just past the soccer field, adjacent to Parking Lot 9. Click here for photos or more information. The school serves children who are 6 months old to 5 years old, and we are now offering an Infant Program!
Now accepting Waiting List Applications. All families must complete the application, as submitting an application places your child or children on the waiting list. Incomplete applications will not be processed, so please answer all required fields.
Funding/ subsidized services are offered for Palomar College students/ community families who qualify.
Fees and Enrollment Schedules
Requests for a schedule other than those listed will be handled on a case-by-case basis. While we will do our best to accommodate families, consideration must also be given to our program goal of full enrollment. If a special request is granted that later prevents us from enrolling a new family, a two-week notice will be given alerting the family that a schedule change will be required.

Immunizations
At the time of enrollment, we must have your child’s up-to-date immunization record. The ECELS follows the immunization requirements that are made by the County of San Diego and the State of California. As of January 1, 2016, a new law is in effect. Please see the documents below for more information on immunization requirements and the law. Immunization requirements must be met before a child can begin, so please set your child’s start date with this in mind. The start date on the contract is the date that fees will begin to be incurred; therefore it is in the parent’s best interest to ensure that immunization requirements have been fully met before committing to a start date.

Immunization Requirements Although designed to assist childcare providers, this document provides additional information on the requirements, specifically regarding when missing doses can be given.
In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.
