Catering Services Process – San Marcos Campus and Education Centers
The District has contracted with PFD Management, Inc. (PFD) for food services. At the San Marcos campus, PFD has the first right of refusal for all catering. Please visit the Food Services website for more information and to download the catering request form. If PFD is unable to fulfill your catering request, you must obtain a written refusal via email. Only after receiving this written refusal may you proceed with an outside food vendor, such as an external caterer or food truck.
At the Education Centers, use of PFD is not required. However, the same approval process for outside food vendors applies. If you plan to use an outside caterer or food truck—whether at San Marcos or a Center—please follow the steps below:

Contact Purchasing at PurchasingDepartment@Palomar.edu before making any arrangements with an outside food vendor. They will guide you through the required process.

If a vendor will be cooking on campus (e.g., food truck, BBQ, etc.), serving or replenishing food, or setting up/tearing down catering service, a contract and purchase order (PO) must be in place before the event. Please contact the Contracts Office at contracts@palomar.edu with questions about this process or go to the Contracts website for more information.
