March is Womens History Month

March is Women’s History Month and Palomar College has a variety of activities planned including panels, film screenings, discussions, performances and more.  To see the full schedule of activities and to sign up visit the empowered women page  

On 3/17 at 1:30 Angelica Yanez is conducting a talk and showing images that will showcase the political art of Chicana feminists that engage in a host of social and cultural issues like racism, labor rights, sexuality, and Mexican Native culture.  The zoom link is on the page with the full schedule

Bravura 2022 accepting submissions

Sunday March 20th 2022 is the deadline to submit your work to be included in the Palomar College literary journal Bravura.In addition to poetry and fiction Bravura is interested in publishing photography, drawing and painting, illustration, digital art, comics, graphic design, and mixed media art. Also published are images of three dimensional arts including sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, metalworking, woodworking, and fashion design

Students currently enrolled at Palomar College, as well as alumni, may submit their work to Bravura. We also accept submissions from former Palomar students (so even if you did not graduate from Palomar, but attended classes at our school at some point, you are eligible to submit). Any high school student enrolled in a high school located in San Diego County will also be able to submit.
