Dark Light: The Art of Blind Photographers Documentary Film

If you have access to HBOmax why not watch the 30 min documentary called Dark Light: The Art of Blind Photographers. The film explores how 3 blind photographers, Pete Eckert, Bruce Hall, and Henry Butler create their work and explores questions such as can vision succeed where eyesight fails? Can a blind person make meaningful photographs? How can the creator appreciate his own work?

April 27th – deadline to apply for Art Scholarship

This year due to Covid-19 the Art Department has taken its scholarship competition online. We are excited to have scholarships available for students currently enrolled in at least one Art class this semester. The scholarship competition is being hosted as a Canvas class so if you would like to participate head on over to this link and self-enroll in the class. There is no grade and it will not effect your GPA.

The deadline to submit a completed application, and images of your works of art, is Wed., April 27, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Scholarship recipients will be listed as an announcement on the scholarship Canvas site. The Palomar College Foundation will also notify winners in writing.
