Welcome to the Psychology discipline website at Palomar College. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Our behavior and mental processes are examined from a biopsychosocial perspective, meaning we recognize that behavior is influenced by our biology, our internal experiences, and by the social environment in which we live.
Psychology at Palomar is a part of the Behavioral Sciences department. The Psychology program offers courses to prepare students for upper-division programs in Psychology at four-year colleges and universities, and we offer an Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer degree (AA-T Psychology). Click here for information on the AA-T degree program.
We invite you to explore this site to learn more about the psychology discipline and programs offered to Palomar students as well as information about transferring to four-year universities, going on to graduate school, and the different career options for psychology majors.
If you have any questions about the psychology program, you can contact faculty members directly here or by submitting your question here.
More general questions about courses and planning for transfer should be addressed to Palomar’s Counseling Department.
