The Journalism Department produced its first edition of IMPACT Magazine in Fall 2011. The 60-page, full-color magazine covering Palomar culture was met with great reviews. A print version comes out every Spring and is on stands through the Fall semester. The magazine content is available on Issuu as well as online.
In 2016, the magazine class was absorbed into the newspaper class allowing students to write for different types of media, from long-form magazine stories to teasers on social media.
