
Extended Opportunities Programs & Services (EOPS) is a state-funded program designed for the orientation, recruitment and retention of California residents who are economically, socially, and educationally disadvantaged. EOPS assists students in reaching their educational goals through academic support and financial assistance.

EOPS Eligibility Requirements
- Be enrolled in 12* or more units at the time of acceptance to the program (6 units or more if participant of the Disability Resource Center).
- Be eligible for the California College Promise Grant (CCPG) “A”, “B”, or “C” with an SAI of 0.
- Be a California resident or meet AB540/California Dream Act requirements.
- Be educationally or socially disadvantaged as determined by mandated state regulations AND
- Not have completed 70 degree-applicable units of college coursework.
Mission
EOPS, with sensitivity and responsiveness to emergency needs, provides a variety of innovative and traditional support services to eligible EOPS students leading to positive and measurable educational outcomes.
Vision
Palomar College EOPS identifies, recruits, supports and educates matriculating, non-traditional students who come to the college environment educationally under-prepared and who may not achieve their fullest academic potential without EOPS intervention.
