“The Curriculum Committee shall be the preeminent body for the development and recommendation of curricular policy to include philosophy, goals, strategic and long-range planning. The Curriculum Committee shall coordinate, evaluate and review the college curricula to encourage innovation and excellence in instruction. “

Curriculum Approval Process

Each course goes through an extensive approval process facilitated by CurriQunet META, Palomar curriculum management system. The process allows curriculum to be reviewed and approved by the Department Chair/Director, Cross-Listed Department Chair/Director (if applicable), Division Dean, Cross-Listed Division Dean (if applicable), Requisite Subcommittee (if applicable), Distance Education Subcommittee (if applicable), SLO Subcommittee, Technical Review, Curriculum Committee, Faculty Senate, Governing Board and Chancellor’s Office.
