Directions for Observing at Palomar’s ECE Lab School
Palomar students are welcome and encouraged to do their observation assignments at Palomar’s Early Childhood Education Lab School (ECELS).
Observation times are between 8:00 am and 11:00 am & 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Take a picture ID and your observation notesheets.

Two Palomar Locations:
San Marcos location: 1140 W. Mission Road, San Marcos, CA 92069
- The San Marcos ECELS is located on the northeast side of campus, off the Borden Road entrance, across from
Lot 9. Please do not park in the marked ECELS parking spots in Lot 9 or the small lot directly in front of the ECELS.
Use the student parking in Lot 9. - Appointments are NOT necessary at the San Marcos ECELS. Just arrive sometime between 8:00 am –11:00 am or 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Escondido location: 1151 East Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92027 760-744-1150 x 8155
- The Escondido ECELS is located at the corner of Midway and Valley Parkway in the northeast corner of the
Escondido campus parking lot. Please use the student parking spots. - Due to space constraints, appointments are recommended for the Escondido ECELS. Please call 760-744-1150 x 8155.
Be sure to follow the Observation Guidelines closely. Remember, you are a guest. Dress modestly and act professionally. Do not take anything with you besides your observation papers and a pen/pencil.
