Petition to Repeat a Course

Purpose: Declare a registration term as your last term of attendance prior to graduation or transfer in order to receive priority enrollment for that term. This is a once-in-a-lifetime petition for this type of priority enrollment.

Graduation Petition

Requisite Exception Petition
Requisite Exception Petition Form

Purpose: Students wanting to enroll in a class using high school credit (for world languages ONLY) or who have not met the prerequisite but have a valid reason to bypass the prerequisite can submit the Requisite Exception Petition. This form is routed to the academic department for review by the Department Chair and Dean. Students will need to be logged in to MyPalomar to access the link and will receive a response via email.
Requisite Clearance Request

- If the prerequisite is only a Math or English class, please contact assessment@palomar.edu to request clearance.
- If the prerequisite is a Math or English class plus another class, please submit a requisite clearance form. (Example: MATH 245 has prerequisites of MATH 130 or 140 plus CSCI 112.)
- If the prerequisite is a class other than math or English, please submit a requisite clearance form.
Note: The Evaluations Office cannot clear prerequisites using high school coursework. We are only able to clear prerequisites with college coursework or test scores such as AP. If you do not meet the prerequisites for a class, you can contact the academic department directly and submit a Requisite Exception Petition Form (*Students must be logged into MyPalomar before clicking on the link).
CHEM 110/110L clearance: The Chemistry department requires completion of CHEM 100 plus Intermediate Algebra (or higher-level math) in order to be cleared to take CHEM 110/110L. High school coursework is not accepted. If you have not taken a Fundamentals of Chemistry class with a lab at the college level plus an approved math course, the Evaluations Office cannot clear you for CHEM 110/110L. Please contact the Chemistry department directly for further questions.
Purpose: Request a course evaluation to meet prerequisite coursework for specific courses.
