Study of the development, regulation, economics, social impact, and industry practices in broadcasting and cable communication. Includes non-broadcast television, new technologies, and other communication systems. Topics include – mass communication theory, TV station operation & programming, advertising, rating services, regulation, and censorship; in depth analysis of current issues and developments. 

Informal Description:

DBA 100 is a lecture course where you learn about the business of broadcasting (TV, Radio, Podcasts, Steaming, Social, etc.) and its impact on society.
