How CPL works

Your Marine Corps or Navy career-level (E-5+)Professional Military Education (PME) and training is evaluated and matched to Palomar College coursework in Military Leadership. Through Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), eligible veterans can earn 12 of the 18 units required for the Certificate of Achievement in Military Leadership.

No longer on active duty? You can complete the work experience requirement through Cooperative Education CE 100, a flexible option built for veterans. Your units also count toward the Associate in Science in Military Leadership. Once you finish general education, you are ready to apply for your degree.

Once your CPL units and work experience are complete, submit a graduation petition to receive your Certificate of Achievement in Military Leadership.
