Yvonne Hardy currently serves as the Credit for Prior Learning Coordinator at Palomar College, helping adult learners turn the knowledge and skills they have gained outside the classroom into opportunities for college credit.

Whether your experience comes from work, military service, professional training, industry certifications, or other learning experiences, Professor Hardy can help you explore how that experience may apply toward your educational goals. Her focus is on making the CPL process easier to understand and helping students find pathways that may save time, reduce the cost of completing a degree or certificate, and avoid repeating material they already know.

Professor Hardy is also an Assistant Professor and Faculty Program Coordinator for the Military Leadership Programs. As a retired U.S. Marine Corps Master Sergeant with 20 years of active-duty service, she brings firsthand experience with career transitions, professional training, leadership development, and translating learning gained outside the traditional classroom into academic and career opportunities. Her academic background includes social psychology, higher education administration, management, and leadership.
