The following information is what has been shared with students in previous semesters. We have exceeded our allocation and are no longer reviewing applications.
ECE Educational Support Grants
The Child Development Training Consortium offers Educational Support Grants to qualifying students at participating colleges. Students who pass their courses in the semesters they are approved for the grant will receive payment at the end of the semester- reimbursement rates usually range from $20-$40 per unit. Palomar College’s Child Development Department participates in this program in the Fall and Spring semesters each year.
Students pursuing a career in early childhood or child development were eligible to apply for the ECE Educational Support Grant for Fall 2025 CHDV courses.
Educational Support Grant Priorities:
- Students who are employed in the childcare/early childhood education field in California and are taking classes toward their permit, certificate, or degree
- Students who are not working in the childcare/early childhood education field but are enrolled in CHDV 201 or 201A (Practicum) – OR
- Students who are not working in the childcare/early childhood education field but are enrolled in two (2) of the core CHDV courses (CHDV 100, 115, 105, 106, 182, 184, 185).
Students who’ve submittes their applications by October 20, 2025 will be processed. We have exceeded our allocation of units approved. No other applications can be accepted.
