Your educational
plan (EP) is the pattern of courses you will take in preparation for
transfer. The plan you develop will be determined by your major, General
Education and other requirements for admission to the your transfer
college.
Completing the proper courses is the key to admission to the
college of your choice. Hence, all students should see
a counselor
for help with their educational plan.
The purpose of this
page is to help you become familiar with the components of an ed plan and
the resources available to help you select the right courses for you.
There are three components to an educational plan:
General Education, which
is a pattern of courses required of all students regardless of major.
It is designed to expose students to broad areas of knowledge in
communication, the sciences,
arts and humanities and social sciences.
Preparation for Major
requirements.
These are introductory courses in your major designed to prepare you for more
advanced work after transfer.
Electives: Any additional transferable courses you take which do not meet specific
college requirements.
