ASL Program

Palomar College’s ASL Program is one of the largest in Southern California. We have Deaf and hearing instructors that provide excellent education to help prepare you for real-world Deaf Community interaction. Students can enroll in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture courses to fulfill university language requirements, to learn to communicate with Deaf community members, or for personal interest and enhancement.

Palomar College and the California State University system accept American Sign Language coursework to fulfill part of the Humanities requirement. Many universities accept ASL coursework to fulfill the foreign language requirement. American Sign Language – Catalog
