Course Description
Death Valley – Monday, March 27 – Thursday, March 30 (4 days, 1 credit)
Have you ever wanted to be on land and yet, be below sea level? Or see expansive sand dunes, volcanoes, faults, and of course, amazing desert sunsets. Then explore Death Valley. With a complex history of tectonics, volcanism, and erosion, Death Valley is a geologic wonderland located in eastern California. The Geology Program at Palomar College is inviting students on 4-day, 1-credit field course to Death Valley. Join us as we explore this pulled-apart area of the western United States and one of the most iconic National Parks in the country
