Jorge S. Hernandez is the first in his family to earn a middle school diploma, high school diploma, A.A. Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master’s Degree.

He will seek to publish his thesis “Five Generations of Family in Tijuana,” in the upcoming future. He loves teaching Chicano/a Studies and getting to know inquiring students in Palomar C.C. He also works at UCSD, through a federally funded college preparatory program for Title I high school students named Educational Talent Search. In the summers he works for Upward Bound Summer Residential Program, and UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering College Application Seminar. His hobbies include traveling around the U.S., gardening, and writing.​
