Sherehe Hollins is the Assistant Professor of Africana Studies position at Palomar College. She brings over 20 years of experience in education, and 15 years of experience in curriculum design and instruction. Her work is guided by a deep commitment to Africana Studies, Ethnic Studies, social justice and a profound passion for working with others to build just, humane, anti-racist and equitable communities through education. She earned her B.A. in African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and holds an M.A. in Education with an emphasis in Teaching & Learning. Prior to joining the Palomar College community, she served as a professor of Africana Studies at San Diego State University, as well as a professor of Black Studies at San Diego Mesa College. Through her work she is committed to fostering understanding, cultivating awareness, and bridging the human family.
