Palomar Community College is regionally accredited by ACCJC/WASC. This is the most highly regarded form of institutional accreditation, and that sought by most higher educational academic institutions with comprehensive missions. The regional accrediting commissions set a very high standard for the performance of the entire institution. Not all institutions can meet these standards that require the comprehensive component of general education included in all degree programs.
