Exploring Life Through Time- Dinosaurs and Earth History Lab
Have you ever wondered about the ancient creatures that used to rule the planet? What about how Earth went from a molten ball of magma to an ocean, a snowball, a jungle, and ultimately to what we see today. Then you are in the right spot, welcome to Dinosaurs and Earth History. Throughout this course, you will learn about the origin and evolution of Earth and how these changes have guided the history of life.
Let’s get hands-on with fossils! In this course, you will examine the diverse organisms that have floated, swam, and walked on our planet over the past 3.6 billion years. Throughout this course, you will learn to identify and sketch fossils, interpret a cladogram, draw a stratigraphic column, and more. It’s time to dig in!

Field Trips
The class will take a few field trips during the semester. Field trips will include visits to the La Brea Tar Pits, the Natural History Museum of San Diego, and Del Mar Dog Beach. More information will be presented during the semester.
