Public Transportation

North County Transit District

  • Students who have a current Palomar College Student Activity card can purchase a $59 Sprinter/Breeze (NCTD) Bus Pass at a discounted price of $47. These passes can only be purchased by cash or check and check must be made out to NCTD- not Palomar College.
  • North County Transit District’s (NCTD) Website has up-to-date information on COASTER train information, and the SPRINTER, the new train service between Oceanside and Escondido via Vista, Palomar College and Cal State San Marcos.

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS)

San Diego 511

511SD is a free telephone and web-based service that provides commuters with up-to-the minute freeway driving times, transit routes and ridesharing information, roadside assistance and much more. 511 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Purchasing Passes

All Sprinter and NCTD college bus passes will be sold at the Palomar College cashier’s windows in the Administration Building. You will need to show a current activities card in order to purchase the college bus pass.
