- Privately funded scholarships (eligibility is established by the scholarship donors)

California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
The California Dream Act allows students who meet AB 540 criteria to apply for and receive state-funded financial aid such as institutional grants, community college fee waivers, and Cal Grant.

California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program (DSIG)
The California Dream Act Service Incentive Grant Program (DSIG) encourages California Dream Act Applicant (CADAA) Students with a Cal Grant A award that met Cal Grant B eligibility or a Cal Grant B award to perform community or volunteer service. The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) will award up to $4,500 per academic year (up to $2,250 per semester or up to $1,500 per quarter) to 1,667 eligible students. Students must also meet Satisfactory Academic Progress and complete any necessary verification for their Cal Grant award. For additional information go to Palomar College Financial Aid Office
Mixed Status Families
A mixed status family is qualified by a person who is a U.S. citizen but has parent(s) or a spouse who do not have a Social Security number (SSN). California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) administers financial aid programs to the state of California.

Service- Learning takes a hands-on approach to education by combining teaching with community service experience. Students who participate in service learning have an opportunity to develop various skills that can be applied in the workforce. The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF)
The Live Your Dream Awards offers three levels of cash awards. Eligible applicants can submit their application between August 1 – November 15. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams.
